The History of Art in Kazakhstan.

     Kazakhstan – the great country which is between the Great Chinese wall and walls of the Kremlin. Between these sizes symbolizing not only geographical sizes, a white spot in opinion of the big art world there is a culture of Kazakhstan.

     The history of professional art has begun more hundred years ago when here there has arrived Nikolay Gavrilovich Hludov – the first teacher of many local artists. At that time Kazakhs were still nomadic people, their art was created for needs of a nomadic society – everyone yurta represented a mobile museum of an applied art. Import of the Russian socialist revolution and denomadization indigenous population have coincided on time with activization of import of the Russian culture. Since then the unique source fed Kazakhstan by art ideas, became Russia.

     By virtue of the programming on their tracing, professional art of Kazakhstan during all time of the existence it has been focused on the European school that the information acting here, has been passed through filters of the Soviet censorship, spread the general for all Soviet Union the scheme of arts. Nevertheless, the problem of self-identification for Kazakhstan existed always. As something absolutely new, introduced from the outside, professional art introduced from the outside should pass process of adaptation to local conditions. At the same time the accelerated process of mastering was not simply mechanical carry of a world cultural heritage on new ground is there was a difficult period of comprehension of a new way of development of the world.

     In history of professional Kazakhstan art some stages are precisely enough allocated: in 20-40s of XX century – time in which bases a vacational school, 50th years – time of addition of the Kazakhstan Soviet academism, 60th years – the Kazakhstan variant of ” severe style “, 70-80s addition of ” performing school “. In this cardiogram it is possible to note the quiet, stagnatory periods connected with a priority of the Russian school – 20-50s and 70-80s, and rough, noted expansion of a sight at the world – 60 and 90.
